77th Emperor's Cup

The 77th Emperor's Cup was a sumo competition held sometime prior to 2370. The contest featured a match between the two opponents, Takashi and Kar-pek.

Kathryn Janeway, who had a fifth row seat at the contest, would later recall that Takashi forced Kar-pek, out of the circle in less than three seconds. Chakotay and Tuvok, who were also avid sumo fans, disagreed, stating that Takashi had actually lost the match because his knee broke the sand. Chakotay teased that he thought that perhaps she might have been ordering saki at the time and missed the decision, however, Janeway continued to swear she was correct and feared that she might be facing a mutiny.
