Alaska

Alaska was a region of the North American continent that was one of the states making up the United States of America. It was the only state in America that bordered directly against the International Date Line.
In 1893, a young Jack London told Samuel Clemens of his dream to go to Alaska and was encouraged by Clemens, who mentioned the Klondike and aurora borealis as some of Alaska's features. (TNG: "Time's Arrow, Part II")
A 20th century-era map of the northern Pacific Ocean region was stored in the USS Enterprise library computer in 2254. The map depicted the east coast of Asia's USSR nation and Alaska on the west coast of North America. It was among the materials viewed by the Talosians when they scanned the Enterprise computer. In 2286, a Starfleet base was located in Juneau, Alaska. It was among the cities on Earth that reported its cloud cover status when the Whale probe attacked Earth. (Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home)
Starfleet Commander William T. Riker was born in Alaska in 2335. The first part of Riker and Deanna Troi's wedding was held in Alaska in 2379. (TNG: "The Icarus Factor", "Conundrum"; Star Trek Nemesis)
