All-points relay

In the late 23rd century, the all-points relay was a method used by Starfleet to deliver a generic message to all units and bases. In 2267, the method was used to deliver a Code One alert message indicating that war had begun between the Federation and the Klingon Empire. (TOS: "Errand of Mercy")
