Alrik

Alrik was the Chancellor of the Valtese people of Valt Minor, distant relatives of the Kriosians, during the late-24th century.

For years, a war had been raged between the people of Krios Prime and Valt Minor, over an ancient dispute over an empathic metamorph. In 2368, the two governments finally decided on a way to end the conflict; a Kriosian empathic metamorph would marry Alrik. The two were set to meet and conduct the Ceremony of Reconciliation in a recreation of Temple of Akadar aboard the neutral Federation starship Enterprise.

However, due to interference by some Ferengi, the empathic metamorph bonded with Captain Jean-Luc Picard before Alrik. Kamala said she would live with it, for her people. Alrik remained unaware of this, but was far more interested with the treaty than his new wife anyway. (TNG: "The Perfect Mate")
