Arakis Prime

Arakis Prime is a planet in the Delta Quadrant. The planet's surface was covered by magnesite dust, the atmosphere was composed of magnesium vapor, and crystalline glaciers could be found here.

The planet was visited by the USS Voyager in 2373, and was the site of one of The Doctor's earliest away missions. He fondly told Seven of Nine about the 'sheer beauty' of Arakis Prime in 2376. (VOY: "One Small Step")

The name of the planet may have been inspired by Arrakis from the Frank Herbert novel Dune.
