Christopher Payne

Christopher Payne is a makeup artist who served as a Proteus Make-up FX Team's makeup effects lab technician on 2008's Star Trek. He was also a makeup artist on the independent internet-based mini-series Star Trek: Of Gods and Men.
Payne received his Bachelor of Arts from Indiana University in 2001 and a Master of Fine Arts the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music of Music in 2006. He was a makeup artist and/or wig designer on numerous stage productions for the latter institution, including On the Town, Quills, A Midsummer Night's Dream, and The Elephant Man. While still attending the University of Cincinnati, Payne began working on films, including the 2005 Disney superhero adventure Sky High.
Since receiving his degrees, Payne has provided makeup effects on such 2007 films as The Heartbreak Kid and Hairspray. He has worked as a makeup effects technician for W.M. Creations on several films, including In the Valley of Elah, Untraceable (featuring Tim De Zarn) and Harold & Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay (starring John Cho). He also collaborated with W.M. Creations on such television shows as House (starring Jennifer Morrison), Lost (co-created by J.J. Abrams and Damon Lindelof), Desperate Housewives (starring Teri Hatcher, Steven Culp, Mark Moses and Alfre Woodard), and the CBS Paramount series CSI, NCIS and Medium.
