According to a deleted scene from Star Trek Nemesis, the Denab system is a star system unexplored by the United Federation of Planets as of 2379.
That year, following her repair and refit, the USS Enterprise-E was scheduled to explore this system. This was the first mission that Commander Madden served as executive officer aboard the Enterprise.
- The closed captioning spelled the name of this system as "Danapp," however the correct spelling is found in the film's script.
- The name is reminiscent of the Deneb system, which was the USS Enterprise-D crew's first destination in TNG: "Encounter at Farpoint".
