Direct neural resequencing
From Memory Alpha, the free Star Trek reference
Direct neural resequencing was a medical procedure used during the 24th century to increase neural activity and stabilize synaptic functions. It is generally used in conjunction with cortical stimulation when a patient does not respond to cordrazine.
When the Silver Blood Torres was on her deathbed, and failed to respond to an iso-synaptic pulse initiated from a cortical stimulator, the Tom Paris suggested direct neural resequencing as a last ditch effort to revive her, but the Doctor told him that she was already gone. (VOY: "Course: Oblivion")
The Doctor used this procedure on B'Elanna Torres in 2376 to revive her from a coma. (VOY: "Barge of the Dead")
