Dwight David Eisenhower was a 20th century Human who served as the 34th President of the United States from 1953 to 1961. His nomination and approval as president was based on his noted leadership and heroics while serving in World War II. (TOS: "The Cage")

- The original version of "The Cage" depicted a simple sketch of Eisenhower during the Talosian's scan of the Enterprise computers.
- News coverage of Eisenhower's death preempted the original airdate for the final episode of TOS: "Turnabout Intruder". As a result, the episode did not air until 3 June 1969.
