E'lis was a female member of Tessic's species who was a doctor at the Deuterium mining camp the Enterprise (NX-01) visited in 2152. Tessic agreed to trade deuterium for power cells and medical supplies. E'lis met with Dr.Phlox to get the medical supplies. Her request for equipment to treat neural shock and a cardiostimulator caused Phlox to suspects that something more than plasma burns has been afflicting the colonists. It was discovered that Klingon marauders were taking the deuterium and abusing the mining community. E'lis was among those who agreed to fight off the Klingon marauders who had been terrorizing the camp the last five seasons. (ENT: "Marauders")
