Elana Joy Livneh (also known as Elana Joy Livneh Lessem) is a film editor who is working as assistant editor on J.J. Abrams' Star Trek. Star Trek is her 17th feature film project. [1]
Livneh was previously assigned as an apprentice editor for feature films such as the action film Vertical Limit (2000, with Alexander Siddig), the drama Crazy/ Beautiful (2001, starring Kirsten Dunst and Bruce Davison), Ben Stiller's comedy Zoolander (2001, with Andy Dick), Michael Apted's drama Enough (2002, with William O. Campbell, Bill Cobbs, Bruce French, Jeff Kober, and Sandra Nelson), Rob Bowman's fantasy film Reign of Fire (2002, with Alice Krige and Alexander Siddig), and Marc Forster's thriller Stay (2005, with Becky Ann Baker and Mark Margolis).
She then served as assistant editor on the thriller Ghost Ship (2002, starring Karl Urban), the comedy The Lizzie McGuire Movie (2003, with Hallie Todd), the comedy Along Came Polly (2004), the remake Starsky & Hutch (2004, with Fred Williamson), the sport comedy Fever Pitch (2005, with Jack Kehler), the fantasy film Eragon (2006), and more recently the sport comedy Mr. Woodcock (2007).
Livneh has also experiences as visual effects assistant editor for the adventure comedy Son of the Mask (2005), J.J. Abrams' sequel Mission: Impossible III (2006, written by Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman), and the adventure film The Spiderwick Chronicles (2008, music by James Horner).
