The Epsilon 9 sector is the location of the Epsilon Pulsar Cluster.

The USS Enterprise-D was assigned to perform an astronomical survey of the Epsilon Pulsar Cluster shortly after stardate 42723. (TNG: "Samaritan Snare")

It is possible that this sector is the location of or otherwise related to Epsilon IX station.
