Fast food

Fast food is a generic term for food which gets its name because, unlike other restaurant foods, the food is pre-cooked and warmed up later, saving customer service time. It is usually not very healthy. On Earth, fast food became popular in the latter half of the 20th century. In general, fast food restaurants specialized in using aggressive sales tactics such as the constant suggestion of larger orders for better deals, and drive-up windows to attract hurried consumers who would be unable to choose more nutritionally sound products.
Burgerland was the name of a fast food restaurant on Earth in the 21st century. In 2004, time-travelers Jonathan Archer and T'Pol found themselves frequenting a Burgerland drive-through at the request of their captive, Loomis, a criminal who was in league with Xindi-Reptilian time-travelers. T'Pol was noticably disgusted by the whole process. (ENT: "Carpenter Street")
