Jem'Hadar ranks

The Jem'Hadar rank system is based on a simple numerical ranking of soldiers in a given unit.

First is the highest rank a Jem'Hadar can achieve. The First is typically only responsible to the Founders and his Vorta commander, and is responsible for disciplining the other Jem'Hadar under his command. Aboard Dominion warships, the First is the only Jem'Hadar who wears a virtual display device.

• First Goran'Agar (DS9: "Hippocratic Oath")
• First Ikat'ika (DS9: "In Purgatory's Shadow", "By Inferno's Light")
• First Ixtana'Rax, demoted to Second (DS9: "One Little Ship")
• First Kudak'Etan (DS9: "One Little Ship")
• First Omet'iklan (DS9: "To the Death")

Second is the rank given to a Jem'Hadar soldier who is second in command of his unit.

• Second Arak'Taral (DS9: "Hippocratic Oath")
• Second Ixtana'Rax, demoted from First (DS9: "One Little Ship")
• Second Toman'torax (DS9: "To the Death")

Third is the rank given to a Jem'Hadar soldier who is third in command of his unit.

• Third Lamat'Ukan (DS9: "One Little Ship")
• Third Remata'Klan (DS9: "Rocks and Shoals")
• Third Talak'talan (DS9: "The Jem'Hadar")

Fourth is the rank given to a Jem'Hadar soldier who is fourth in command of his unit.

• Fourth Limara'Son, demoted to Sixth (DS9: "Rocks and Shoals")
• Fourth Virak'kara (DS9: "To the Death")

Fifth is the rank given to a Jem'Hadar soldier who is fifth in command of his unit.

• No Fifths were ever specified by name, only by rank. (DS9: "One Little Ship")

Sixth is the rank given to a Jem'Hadar soldier who is sixth in command of his unit.

• Sixth Duran'Adar (DS9: "One Little Ship")
• Sixth Limara'Son, demoted from Fourth (DS9: "Rocks and Shoals")

Seventh is the rank given to a Jem'Hadar soldier who is seventh in command of his unit.

Though not an organizational or unit rank, Honored Elder is the title (honorific) given to Jem'Hadar who lives past the age of 20, rare since most die in combat. (DS9: "To the Death")
