Fleet Operations Center

The Fleet Operations Center was a building operated by the United Earth Starfleet Command in the mid-22nd century and was later controlled by the United Federation of Planets until at least the late 23rd century. (ENT: "Demons", "Terra Prime"; Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country) Located near Starfleet Headquarters in San Francisco, California, on Earth, the center oversaw Starfleet Operations.
In January of 2155, the Fleet Operations Center was the location of the various conferences held by the delegates of Earth and various other planets to discuss a possible Coalition of Planets. Various directories were placed throughout the area listing the building's personnel and their offices. (ENT: "Demons", "Terra Prime")
In 2293, the Fleet Operations Center was involved in "Operation Retrieve." (Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country)
- It is unknown exactly how the Fleet Operations Center was related to Operation Retrieve, only that the name is referenced in each of three schematics used to demonstrate the planned mission.
- Because these schematics, as well as the aforementioned directories seen in "Demons" and "Terra Prime", specify the Fleet Operations Center as being located in the Sol Sector, it is possible that the "Center" had similar buildings located in one or more sectors of space.
