A forest is an area with a large number of trees. A rainforest is a type of forest characterized by the abundant amount of rainfall it receives.
Some known forests include:
- The Great Forest, part of the Talaxian afterlife.
- Sherwood Forest, the home of Robin Hood and his outlaws.
- Forest of Forever, a setting in the Adventures of Flotter series.
The term forest could refer to:
- Michael Forest, the actor who played the God Apollo.

- Maxwell Forrest, a Starfleet officer in charge of the NX project.
