Frank Welker (born 12 March 1946; age 62) is a professional voice actor, most noted for portraying the character of Freddy (and following Don Messick's death, Scooby-Doo as well) in the various Scooby-Doo animated series and movies, Decepticon leader Megatron in the original Transformers series, Darwin the dolphin from the series seaQuest DSV, and many others. His Star Trek work included the voice of a screaming child Spock in Star Trek III: The Search for Spock, as well as additional voice work on the Star Trek: Starfleet Academy series of games and the Star Trek: Voyager episode "Nothing Human". His work with Leonard Nimoy goes even futher: Nimoy was the voice of Galvatron in The Transformers: The Movie, and Welker took over that role in the subsequent seasons of the television series (as Galvatron was the reborn form of Megatron). They also did voice work together in The Pagemaster and Futurama.
He voiced many animals in The Simpsons and Nibbler in Futurama, among numerous other cartoons. He also worked on Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret of the Ooze (1991; with Michelan Sisti, David Warner, Brian Tochi, Lee Spencer, and Lisa Chess).
