The homeworld of the Companion was an undiscovered planetoid found in an asteroid belt located in the Gamma Canaris region. According to Spock, it was possibly a remnant of a planet breakup.
Zefram Cochrane settled there following his departure into the unknown in 2119. The shuttlecraft Galileo was later brought there by the Companion to offer Cochrane companionship. (TOS: "Metamorphosis")
- This planet may or may not be Gamma Canaris N, which was named in homage to this planet in the TNG episodes "Conspiracy" and "Conundrum" (on a star chart and personnel file respectively).
