George Pérez (born 9 June 1954; age 54) is a comic book artist, writer, and occasional editor. He started in the industry in 1973 as a backup writer on "Astonishing Tales". Within a year, he was penciling for Deadly Hands of Kung-Fu and Creatures on the Loose. Not long after, he was working on Fantastic Four and The Avengers for Marvel Comics. He has worked for every major publisher, but is best known for his revitalization of the DC Comics franchise The Teen Titans with The New Teen Titans with Romeo Tanghal.

He did the cover art for the first three Star Trek comics published by DC, and, along with a number of other DC artists, contributed art to the Who's Who in Star Trek.
