A hydroxyl radical is a neutrally-charged molecule consisting of an oxygen and a hydrogen atom.

The nucleogenic cloud being in the Delta Quadrant was composed mostly of hydrogen, helium, and hydroxyl radicals. (VOY: "The Cloud")
