Jim Shimoda

Jim Shimoda was the assistant chief engineer aboard the USS Enterprise-D when it was first commissioned in 2364.

When the Enterprise encountered a form of polywater intoxication, Shimoda, under the influence of the intoxication, almost caused the starship to be destroyed by removing the isolinear chips that controlled the warp drive. However, the chips were replaced by Lt. Cmdr. Data, restoring warp power. (TNG: "The Naked Now")

Shimoda was played by Benjamin W.S. Lum.
