Illinois-born actor John Gegenhuber has made three appearances of Star Trek: Voyager, including two appearances as Kazon-Mostral leader Surat.
He is probably best known for his role as Morgan Martin on the short-lived cult science fiction television series Earth 2. Star Trek: Enterprise guest actor Clancy Brown also starred in this series.
Gegenhuber also had a role in the 1993 film Rookie of the Year, as did Star Trek: The Next Generation guest actor Albert Hall.
