Julie Parrish (21 October 1940 – 1 October 2003; age 62), was born in Middlesboro, Kentucky and died of ovarian cancer in Los Angeles, California.
She played Miss Piper of Starbase 11 in the Star Trek: The Original Series episode "The Menagerie, Part I".
She won the "Los Angeles Drama Critics Award" for her portrayal of Maggie in After the Fall. She was also known for her recurring role as Joan Diamond on the TV show Beverly Hills, 90210.
