Katterpod

Katterpods are a familiar crop grown by Bajoran farmers. The useful part of the crop is the roots, which are called "beans". A farming technique in growing bigger katterpod beans is to spray them with chlorobicrobes. (DS9: "Shadowplay")

Mullibok grew katterpods on his farm on the Bajoran moon Jeraddo. On Bajor, large crops of katterpods are grown in Ilvia in the Northwest District. (DS9: "Progress")
