L-4 maneuver

The L-4 maneuver is commonly referred to in Earth aerobatic maneuvers as an "inside loop", in which a starship pulls upward and moves in a complete circle along the z-axis, coming back to its original trajectory. In July of 2153, the Enterprise used the L-4 maneuver inside the thermobaric clouds of the Delphic Expanse to get behind Captain Duras' Bird-of-Prey, allowing them to destroy the enemy vessel.
