Rear Admiral L. Cole was a 23rd century Starfleet flag officer attached to the Starfleet Academy where he served as Supervisor of Curriculum in 2285.

Cole was listed on a directory placard on the 2nd level of Starfleet Training Command. (Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan)
