Landing pad

A landing pad or runabout pad is an area on a space station where small starships can dock.

Cardassian space stations like Terok Nor and Empok Nor have six landing pads. On Deep Space 9, Starfleet houses the station's complement of Danube-class runabouts there. Other ships that can also use the landing pads include Romulan and Ferengi shuttles. (DS9: "The Magnificent Ferengi", "In the Pale Moonlight", "Profit and Lace")

After the Cardassians abandoned Empok Nor, they sealed the landing pads of the space station. (DS9: "Empok Nor")

[edit] Landing Pad C/ Runabout Pad C

• Lieutenant Dax and Chief O'Brien started a runabout from runabout pad C when they went on the rescue mission for Commander Sisko, Major Kira, Doctor Bashir, and Kai Opaka. (DS9: "Battle Lines")
• Commander Sisko ordered a security team to meet with him on runabout pad C to rescue Major Kira Nerys from "The Circle" in the Perikian Peninsula on Bajor. (DS9: "The Circle")
• In 2370 Commander Benjamin Sisko informed Odo and Doctor Bashir to meet him on landing pad C, to go on the search for Gul Dukat. (DS9: "The Maquis, Part II")
