Liquidator

Liquidators are the feared agents of the Ferengi Commerce Authority (or FCA). Fear of the liquidators is grounded in potential profit loss for any Ferengi who earns their ire. Liquidators represent the power of the FCA and are empowered to instill bans on Ferengi who break contracts with other Ferengi. These bans can successfully stop all other traditional Ferengi from dealing with the banned individual and that individual's businesses. The result is a massive loss of profit and opportunity, this is quite an insult to a Ferengi as not showing profit not only affects a Ferengi in this life, but also decides where they will end up in their afterlife according to Ferengi religion.

The liquidators are answerable to the Board of Liquidators and are generally disliked by other Ferengi. (DS9: "The Magnificent Ferengi", "Profit and Lace")

In the 2370s, an FCA liquidator, named Brunt, had a particular interest in a Ferengi entrepreneur named Quark. (DS9: "Family Business")
