The Loracus Prime spitting termite is an insect native to Loracus Prime, which is home to over 5,000 subspecies of termites.

It was depicted on page 209 of the Handbook of Exobiology. (ENT: "Strange New World")

While the crew of Enterprise had to be put into comas for several days to pass through a region of Sphere Builder transformed-space, Doctor Phlox worked, unclothed, on a PADD with information on the Loracus Prime spitting termite on it. (ENT: "Doctor's Orders")
