Lucia Rijker (born 6 December 1967; age 41) is a Dutch actress and professional boxer and kickboxer. She will be playing a Romulan communications officer in 2009's Star Trek. Rijker won her role after two auditions and is scheduled to shoot her scenes during the first two weeks of March 2008. [1]
Dubbed "The Most Dangerous Woman in the World," Rijker has never been defeated by a female opponent in boxing or kickboxing. Her sole defeat came in a kickboxing match with a male opponent, Thai boxer Somchai Jaidee, in 1994. Rijker holds five world kickboxing titles and has won the Junior Welterweight title from the Women's International Boxing Federation. As of February 2008, her boxing record is 17-0 with 14 knockouts and her kickboxing record is 37-0 with 25 knockouts.
As an actress, Rijker can abe seen in the 2002 film Rollerball as a member of the Red Team. In 2004, she made a guest appearance on the CBS series JAG in an episode featuring Star Trek alumni David Andrews, Michael Reilly Burke, Bruce Davison, Scott Lawrence, and Zoe McLellan. Rijker had a supporting role as Billie "The Blue Bear" in the 2004 Academy Award-winning film Million Dollar Baby. She was also a boxing technical adviser on the film. She presently has a recurring role as prison inmate Dusty in the Showtime network series The L Word.
