Margaret Ostroff (17 January 19354 February 2008; age 73), credited as Maggie Ostroff, was an American assistant sound, film and music editor for motion pictures. She was an assistant sound editor on Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country.

Ostroff was born Margaret Beck in Fort Wayne, Indiana and studied film and television at Northwestern University in Illinois. She was married to writer Howard Ostroff from 1958 through 1987, a union that produced two daughters, Lauren and Dana. Maggie Ostroff worked as an assistant manager at the World Trade Center for eleven years.

She began her career in sound and film editing in 1982. One of her earliest films was the 1985 comedy Cavegirl. In addition to being the film's assistant editor, Ostroff also appeared as the mother of the lead character, played by TNG guest actor Daniel Roebuck.

Her other film credits include Oliver & Company, The Naked Gun 2½: The Smell of Fear, Patriot Games, Ri¢hie Ri¢h (starring John Larroquette), Crimson Tide, Broken Arrow (starring Christian Slater and Bob Gunton), The Rock, Armageddon (co-written by J.J. Abrams), Enemy of the State, Proof of Life, and 2 Fast 2 Furious. Her sole credit as an assistant music editor was the 1988 comedy The Great Outdoors.

Ostroff died of cancer in Santa Monica, California.
