Gul Marayn was a fictional Cardassian officer invented by Kira Nerys in 2370.

Kira invented Gul Marayn as part of a cover story to explain her runabout's presence in Cardassian space once it had been detected by a navigational control post. Upon being contacted by the post, she claimed that a Gul Marayn on Cardassia IV was awaiting delivery of Rulot seeds and that "any delay could ruin the shipment, not to mention the Gul's mood." This story allowed her to pass by the navigation post and continue to Cardassia IV unimpeded. (DS9: "The Homecoming")
