In 2370, she ordered the USS Enterprise-D to rendezvous with the USS Crazy Horse, but did not discuss further details via subspace. After having picked up Admiral Erik Pressman from the Crazy Horse to search for the USS Pegasus, Captain Picard got suspicious about the true nature of the mission and again contacted Blackwell to get more information, but she refused to do so, instead advising Picard to follow Pressman as the chief of Starfleet Intelligence was behind him. - Blackwell was played by Nancy Vawter.
- It is unknown if Blackwell knew of the existence of the interphase cloaking device which Pressman and other Starfleet personnel were secretly trying to retrieve. If she did, it is likely she was court-martialed along with Pressman and the others.
