Marie Picard

Marie Picard was the wife of Robert Picard. They had one son, René. She is the sister-in-law to Captain Jean-Luc Picard. Marie, Robert and René lived at the Picard family farm near La Barre, France. Although relations between Jean-Luc and his brother were strained, Marie corresponded with Jean-Luc to keep him abreast of family matters. (TNG: "Family")

Marie was widowed in 2371 when Robert and René died in a fire in at the family home. It was Marie who sent Jean-Luc the tragic news of their deaths. (Star Trek Generations)

Marie was played by Samantha Eggar.
