Mikhail Gorbachev was a communist politician and leader of the Soviet Union from 1985 to 1991 during the final days of the Earth Cold War. After Jonathan Archer restored a damaged timeline, Gorbachev could be seen in the time stream as the timeline realigned itself. (ENT: "Storm Front, Part II")
