Nicole de Boer (born 20 December 1970; age 37) is a Canadian actress, born in Toronto, Ontario. Nicole's first major TV role came in 1997, in the short-lived Sci-Fi Channel series Deepwater Black (aka Mission Genesis) as Yuna. She followed that up with a role in the low-budget cult thriller Cube. Another early work of note includes a recurring role (usually as "Laura", the girlfriend of the angst-filled teenager "Bob") on the Canadian sketch comedy show The Kids in the Hall, which also starred Scott Thompson.
Her notability for Trek fans is in the role of Ezri Dax, whom she played in the seventh season of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.
She most recently played Sarah Bannerman in The Dead Zone, which also stars one-time Star Trek guest star David Ogden Stiers and DS9 guest star Bill Mondy. The series was created by Michael Piller (who also co-created DS9 and Voyager) and Shawn Piller.
She will also be making an appearance in Stargate Atlantis' season five episode "Whispers", portraying Dr. Allison Porter, which will also be starring Robert Picardo as the leader of the Atlantis expedition.
Nicole cites Star Trek: The Original Series and Star Trek: The Next Generation as two of her favorite TV shows.[1]
