The Norvalians are a humanoid species from the Delta Quadrant. Norvalians do not have fathers.

Jaffen was a Norvalian who worked on Quarra in 2377. According to him, he left his homeworld because it was overpopulated, polluted, and had very little work. (VOY: "Workforce")

The Star Trek: Voyager Companion gives this species' name as "Norvalian". However, it is pronounced "Norvalen" in dialog.
