Photon charge

A photon charge was a type of explosive used in space by the Federation Starfleet.

In 2371, Captain Kathryn Janeway proposed that USS Voyager would detonate a field of photon charges between them and a large space-dwelling lifeform to discourage its attack. However, Chakotay suggested that a non-aggressive action might be more effective. (VOY: "Elogium")

It is not known if photon charge is an alternative name for a photon warhead, or some other technology, such as a photonic charge or a photon burst.
