Physiognomy
From Memory Alpha, the free Star Trek reference.
Physiognomy is the pseudoscience based on the belief that the study of a person's external appearance, esp. the face, is reflective of their character or personality.
Captain Picard attended a physiognomy seminar at a three-day psychological conference, presented by a Doctor Vassbinder, discussing the effects of deep space assignments in late 2369. (TNG: "Timescape")
