Plants are a group of non-sentient organisms. Plants include trees, flowers, and many others. The edible plants (or parts thereof) include herbs, vegetables, fruits and seeds.
The study of plants is known as botany. On Earth (and most Class-M planets), plants contain chlorophyll, giving their stems and leaves a green color.
Plant cells contain cellulose.
