Plasma bomb

A plasma bomb is a type of plasma-based weapon. In 1484, the Turei and their allies used plasma bombs in a massive orbital bombardment of the Vaadwaur homeworld, nearly wiping out the Vaadwaur species and rendering the surface uninhabitable through radiation. (VOY: "Dragon's Teeth")

After 900 years, the "plasma bomb" appeared to have been superseded by plasma charges.
