This is a list of characters who have recurring appearances or mentions in the Pocket TNG series of novels.

This article lists non-canon information. Additions to the brief character definitions listed here should include only a list of appearances and a short definition of their status as of their last appearance in this series, if you want to read about their canon information, their names will be hyperlinked to their main article. The specifics of non-canon characters' appearances should be listed in the character section of each audio production, novel, comic book, or game they played a role in.

Jean-Luc Picard 

Starfleet captain, CO of USS Enterprise-D. Picard, the former commander of USS Stargazer, went on to command the USS Enterprise-E.

William Riker 

Starfleet commander, first officer of Enterprise-D, and later, the Enterprise-E.

Data 

Android Starfleet lieutenant commander, operations officer of the Enterprise-D, and later, the Enterprise-E.

Beverly Crusher 

Starfleet commander, CMO of Enterprise-D, and later, the Enterprise-E. Crusher has also served Starfleet in a senior position at Starfleet Medical.

Worf 

Klingon Starfleet lieutenant junior grade who was assigned to the Enterprise-D in the command division. Worf was later promoted to lieutenant and made security chief, and still later promoted to lieutenant commander, serving in both security and command positions on Deep Space 9 and the Enterprise-E.

Deanna Troi 

Half-Betazoid Starfleet lieutenant commander assigned as Enterprise-D counselor. She was later promoted to commander, and went pon to fill the same position aboard the Enterprise-E.

Geordi La Forge 

VISOR-sighted Starfleet lieutenant junior grade assigned as Enterprise-D flight controller. Geordi became chief engineer, and was later promoted to lieutenant, and then lieutenant commander, before going on to be chief engineer of Enterprise-E.

Katherine Pulaski 

Starfleet commander assigned as Enterprise-D CMO in Dr. Crusher's absence.

Natasha Yar 

Starfleet lieutenant assigned as Enterprise-D security chief. Tasha died after less than one year in this position.

Wesley Crusher 

Enterprise-D resident who was awarded the title of acting ensign by Captain Picard. Wesley became an applicant to Starfleet Academy, and was awarded a commission as ensign, becoming the Enterprise-D flight controller before departing for the Academy.

Guinan 

El-Aurian bartender aboard the Enterprise-D.

Ro Laren 

Bajoran Starfleet ensign assigned as Enterprise-D flight controller.
