Reese (AR-558)

Reese was a Starfleet soldier stationed on AR-558 in 2375 during the Dominion War under the command of Lieutenant Nadia Larkin. He was known for wearing the ketracel-white tubes of Jem'Hadar he killed as a necklace. Reese survived the final Jem'Hadar attack and left the planet on the USS Defiant. (DS9: "The Siege of AR-558")

Reese was played by Patrick Kilpatrick. According to the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine Companion, his name is a homage to Steve McQueen's character in the 1962 film Hell Is for Heroes.
In the non-canon Tales of the Dominion War, "Requital" Reese tries to assassinate the Female Changeling during the events of "What You Leave Behind". Benjamin Sisko talks Reese out of doing it and sends him into counseling.
