Rigelian freighter (24th century)

Rigelian freighters were a type of cargo freighter operated by the Rigelians during the 24th century. These Federation vessels were of a completely different, and presumably more advanced, design, than their 22nd century counterparts.

In 2369, a Rigelian freighter was docked at Deep Space 9 prior to its mission to the Gamma Quadrant.

It was used to shadow the Starfleet runabout, taking the fugitive Croden back to Rakhar, while attempting to avoid a Miradorn raider that was scanning all ships leaving DS9, as both ships traveled through the Bajoran wormhole. (DS9: "Vortex")
