Santa Barbara Studios is a visual effects company, founded by John Grower in 1989. The company's contributions to Star Trek included space-based visual effects for Star Trek: Insurrection, where they worked alongside Blue Sky Studios. They also created comet effects for Star Trek: The Next Generation and Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, and worked with Dan Curry on the main title sequence for Star Trek: Voyager.
