Savar

Rear Admiral Savar was a high-ranking Vulcan Starfleet officer stationed at Starfleet Command.

In 2364, his body was taken over by neural parasites that attempted to infiltrate Starfleet. Captain Jean-Luc Picard and Commander William Riker freed Savar from the infestation by destroying the parasitic mother creature within Dexter Remmick, which in turn killed all the other alien parasites on Earth. (TNG: "Conspiracy")

Admiral Savar was played by actor Henry Darrow. His rank insignia was an admiral braid and one pip, indicating a rear admiral in the TNG season one Starfleet ranks.
