Seldonis IV Convention

The Seldonis IV Convention is a treaty governing the treatment of prisoners of war. Under this treaty, torture is expressly forbidden. Also, a person held by a treaty signatory can request the involvement of a designated "neutral representative" in his case. The United Federation of Planets and the Cardassian Empire are signatories of this treaty. (TNG: "Chain of Command, Part II")

The Seldonis Convention is an obvious parallel to Earth's Geneva Conventions.
