Stol was a Ferengi entrepreneur and cousin of Quark and Rom. In 2369, Stol attended an auction in Quark's bar and bought a bejeweled dagger that Vash brought back from the Gamma Quadrant for 105 bars of gold-pressed latinum. (DS9: "Q-Less")

In 2371, Ishka told Quark that she was writing a letter to Stol when in fact she was conducting business transactions - an illegal activity for a Ferengi female at that time. (DS9: "Family Business")
