System-5 disruptors were large planet-based disruptor weapons designed by the Cardassians.

Several system-5 disruptors comprised the defenses of the Cardassian outpost on Korma, although they were disabled by a Klingon attack in 2372. Major Kira Nerys and Gul Dukat salvaged one of the disruptors and mounted it within the cargo bay of the freighter Groumall. They were able to bring the disruptor online, although firing the weapon caused severe damage to the freighter's power systems. With it, they were successful in disabling a Klingon Bird-of-Prey.
