Talaxian tomato

The Talaxian tomato is a plant native to Talaxian space. Like the similar tomato of Earth, the Talaxian tomato is grown as a food.

When Captain Kathryn Janeway and Commander Chakotay were stranded on an M-class planet they dubbed New Earth, Talaxian tomatoes were one of the plants Janeway grew in a little garden.

According to Captain Janeway, it would only take a few months until she and Chakotay could enjoy vine-ripened Talaxian tomatoes. (VOY: "Resolutions")
